In order to do something that’s never been done before, you need to do something that’s never been done before…
This June I will be turning 36 and will run 36 miles on Sunday, June 9th for JAR of Hope, The Raffone Family and all of those battling the terminal, muscle wasting disease known as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Last year, I ran 35 miles on my 35th birthday (THE 35) and due to the overwhelming amount of success and positive energy created from that day I plan to run my age every year for JAR of Hope until I physically cannot.
My goal is to raise $10,000 and unlimited awareness to help the foundation’s efforts to eliminate this horrific disease. Duchenne remains relatively unknown to the general public and I know that with your help we can change that, and these 36 miles will get the us closer to a cure.
The miles will be completed around my local neighborhood in Branchburg, NJ and we will gather at my home for a family friendly party/celebration with plenty of food and drink from local establishments starting @ 12:00. Plan for a positive, fun atmosphere with great people who are looking to make a difference for families battling Duchenne. Don’t forget to bring your running/walking shoes as the last mile will be Police escorted and make you feel as though you are in a Rocky Movie!
Thank you so much for your support. Please share this with your friends and family and I hope you will consider coming out on Sunday, June 9th on what will be an extraordinary day!
