My family met the Raffone’s 4 and a half years ago when Jamesy and Dale were in kindergarten together. I would hear all the time “my friend Jamesy” and “Mommy, I love Jamesy.” Then after meeting Jamesy and Jar of Hope, from that moment forward, it became “we love Jamesy” for me & For my family.
Last November, my kids and I watched from our couch all of Jim’s live feeds from the marathon. Then, we watched James & Karen carry Jamesy over the finish line, with tears in his eyes Dale turned to me and said:
“Mommy, I love him. I love his voice. I love him so. You HAVE to do this for Jamesy. You just have to.”
So here I am. I am not a marathon runner. I’m not really much of a runner.
But I’m a mother, a friend, a wife. I’m a social worker. A therapist. And I am a fighter for what matters to my family.
So I will Train and I will keep on fighting. And when I get knocked down, I will get back up for you Jamesy. AND then I will be even stronger and I will be even louder. Because my son Dale asked me to.
So, I am with Team Jamesy on this quest for a cure and together, we are alongside James and Karen through this battle. Because this is My fight for you, Jamesy. And because Dale and I will never ever give up. 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💚
