$17,321 of $10,000 raised
Personal Info

Donation Total: $10

On July 15th, Hillsborough, NJ resident Jeff Wyatt will ride 10,000 miles in an effort to raise $10,000 for JAR of Hope when he participates in the annual Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge. This event will begin in Medicine Park, OK and run through the lower 48 states over a 10-day period. Established in 2010, the Hoka Hey tests the physical endurance and mental fortitude of all involved.

Despite the grueling nature of the event, which restricts participants’ ability to utilize any form of electronic devices, Jeff is excited to meet the challenge in honor of JAR of Hope and the thousands of young boys affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. A send-off party in Jeff’s honor is scheduled for July 8th, at Petrock’s Bar & Grille in Hillsborough.

A great mission I can fully support. In addition to knowing one of the riders, I was introduced to MDA in college 25 years ago through a friend with MD. Gerry still inspires me and is a heck of a player on the GLASA Chicago Fire Power Soccer Club. Because of him and the need to find a cure, I happily served as one of the hosts of the Jerry Lewis telethon at my old TV station for 8 years. Between the MDA camps and meeting the late Mattie Stepanek and Jerry Lewis, I’ve never given up hope we can find a cure for muscular dystrophy. Best of everything to Jamesy and my sincere wishes to one day discovering a cure for DMD!

Donated in honor of Pedro Roy, OWOF. He’d be quite impressed. As am I. Thanks for doing this for such a great cause.
Much love, from a fellow Jerry’s Kid, with CMT.
