Gaynor McCown Staten Island Push Up Challenge
The Gaynor McCown Expeditionary Learning School is proud to announce its participation in the JAR of Hope Push-Up Challenge!
Gaynor McCown’s mission is to help students develop the skills to be independent thinkers, problem solvers and global citizens. Our main objective is that our graduates leave embodying our credo, “Make a mark, make a difference.” Throughout the course of the year, our students work tirelessly to make a difference in our local community. What better way to cap-off the school year than with a school-wide fundraiser to honor Jamesy Raffone, a brave and courageous young boy that has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne is one of the more serious and deadly forms of this heartbreaking disease. We are dedicated to raising awareness of this disease, and giving all boys like Jamesy a fighting chance at life. Together we will make a difference and bring an END to Duchenne!
